My analogue collages reclaim the cycles of womanhood as alive liminal worlds where the body remembers innocence, instinct and sensuality as natural states of being.
In dialogue with the archetype of the medial woman, she who bridges worlds - alchemist, mystic and medicine woman, I rewrite personal stories of societal conditioning into narratives of self-empowerment and healing.
At the core of my inquiry lies the question: who emerges when I meet myself with radical earth-body wisdom?
The impulse to create with raw energy is central to my artistic process. By deconstructing pictures from fashion magazines, symbols of cultural objectification of women's bodies, I alchemise emotions and memories into visual statements of emancipation.
My multilingual brain plays a key role when processing materials: meaning, symbol, metaphor and colloquial expressions are rearranged into new codes of interpretation - an unexpected and sometimes provoking combination of signs and images in the spirit of Dada.
Walking the land, bonding with its ancestral wisdom, mythology and archaeology nurture my visceral need to feel into the primordial essence of creation.
